C.V. & Bio
I grew up in Houston, Texas, and earned my bachelor’s degree in accounting from Auburn University and my Master in Professional Accounting in taxation from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, I moved to New York City to work in the PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP financial services tax practice. Our clients were mostly firms in the investment management industry, and my exposure to private equity funds, mutual funds, and hedge funds ultimately led to my fascination with understanding the role of taxes in economic decision making. I also became interested in understanding the interplay between tax and financial reporting incentives. I earned my Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in the Spring of 2013.
Outside of school, I enjoy mentoring, two-stepping, running half-marathons, and wine-tasting.
